“Let them eat cake.” Nobody knows if Marie Antoinette ever really said it, but the fact remains that if she did not utter it in fact, she lived it in deed. “Let them eat cake” was what the French Queen, supposedly, uttered when she was informed that the citizens had no bread to eat. The Queen was so out of touch with society that she never stopped to think about how others live. It’s good to be royalty.

On Thanksgiving, the Obamas had a feast that would have made Marie Antoinette green with envy. President Obama spends outrageous sums of money for lavish dinners and his family gets multiple vacations per year. Meanwhile, 23 million Americans are still out of work and we have to hear from our King President that the rich are evil and that he is the friend of the middle class.

  He may think of himself as “king” and revel in it, but he doesn’t have what it takes to be a real King. What he is, is more like a “king” in his own mind. One of these days reality will smack him square in the face. He’s not even qualified to be president! He’s proven that in the last 4 years, even though he has hidden his true identity and background, and paid bundles of our money to keep it hidden. It’s shameful what this country has had to endure under this “wanna be” dictator, king, sham, or whatever you want to call it. All because people of that certain sector of the country who crave power at all costs and who care nothing for this country or it’s people have schemed and plotted and finally achieved through fraud what they couldn’t have done legally! Yes, it’s easy to play at being “king”, “dictator”, “tyrant”, or whatever you want to call it, as long as you control the county’s wealth, and then squander it on selfish desires with no regard for the citizens of this country or the few people who still have jobs. That just may come to an end one of these days.

        You a funny lady, squeak! I went to a good friend’s house for TG dinner. There were three of us old ladies sitting, sipping wine, talking about old times while her daughter (mostly) her boyfriend cooked our dinner! It is nice not having to cook and clean after so many years of doing it. :=D

Actually, if you want to quote Marie Antoinette, “cake” in that time was a reference to “sweetmeats” which was kidneys, livers, glands, etc that was used in making meat pies. it was considered a luxury and she was feeding the poor in a good way! I read somewhere that Michelle Obama has approximately 20 Assistants – whereas the other first ladies had a maximum of 4. In additionn, the Mrs. Romney was criticized for the price she paid for the clothing she wore – no one criticized the first lady when she worn a $2,000 dress paid for by taxpayer dollars. So is this the Presidnet’s idea of everyone having a fair share? Why are the taxpayers responsible to pay for Michelle Obama’s wardrobe – especially when the Obamas are Millionaires.

      If you study history you will see that when a country is taken from a free society to a dictatorship, it is not done in one fell swoop. The formula is to as quietly as possible, pass laws that allow the government to do things like deny citizens the right to due process, to divest them of their property, to control the resources. The government always promises they won’t do anything bad–these are just laws in case of emergency, or to keep us safe from the enemy (terrorists), or “for the children”. Sheeple who do not learn from the past go along. Anyone who reminds people of history is called paranoid, crazy, or conspiracy minded. And then, when the people are legally powerless and disarmed, the hammer is brought down. Dissidents are rounded up and killed and all the useful idiots wonder how it all happened.
      
      I’m amazed that so many are so ignorant of history. Hell, some of it’s not even history–it’s current events (Argentina, for example). Our founding fathers were really smart cookies. They knew their history, and we all owe the success of America to their wisdom. Sadly, we are now tossing it all away.
      
      If you are going to support the advancement of Marxism at least be educated enough to know what you are supporting.

I think this is the answer to all abusers of power, and I don’t understand why people just didn’t do this in the past, like with Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Ho Chi Mihn, Pol Pot, etc. I mean, like, all those people dying when they should have just stood up and said something instead of being quiet like we are being. I’m relieved just knowing someone finally thought of a solution to all this mess. Dr. Laura will be proud, and maybe a little envious of me. She stands up to everyone, and they just back down and sometimes even cry, and ask forgiveness. But it must not have occurred to her yet to put congress & corrupt judges in their place yet, but I’m going to call this woman – this queen of standing up to people – and see if she’ll put this obama clown in his place.   The rigged voting machines and dead and illegals vote, are what got him re-elected. It was totally against all odds,that not one vote for Romneywas cast, in many polling places in Ohio, and in a few other states. The machines made the decision, if it was for Romney,it just simply registered it for Obama. There are far too many reports of this,for it not to be true. GOP poll workers were locked out of some voting places by Dems, and only gained access with Police and a Judge’s order. Also, there was unlawfull use by Dem, voting officals who wore campaign pins, and in one case a huge poster of Obama on the wall of the room housing voting machines. Why weren’t the responsible parties charged with clear violations of Election law?. What a farce our elections have become.
