Speaking at a Black History event at the Vice President’s residence on Tuesday, Joe Biden said voter identification laws in North Carolina, Alabama and Texas were evidence of “hatred” and “zealotry.”
Biden’s remarks, via The Hill, clearly intended to stir up racial tensions in connection to the new laws.
“These guys never go away. Hatred never, never goes away,” Biden said. “The zealotry of those who wish to limit the franchise cannot be smothered by reason.”
Hatred? To what is he referring? Do proponents of the law (Republicans) hate… voter fraud? Yes indeed. But he’s not telling this Black History event crowd that Republicans hate voter fraud. He’s insinuating they hate black people.
