The nation does not need another Clinton — or another Bush — in the White House, according to Brad Blakeman, a former member of President George W. Bush’s senior staff.
“I love the Bush family, I’ve served them, but, look, the country is Bushed and Clintoned out,” Blakeman told “The Steve Malzberg Show” on Newsmax TV.
“Certainly there are other people who should be rising to the occasion of service to this country.”
But Blakeman believes that Jeb Bush, the former governor of Florida who has been rumored to be weighing a 2016 presidential run, would be great as the top Republican mover and shaker.
“I happen to believe that Jeb Bush would make an absolutely fantastic RNC chairman. He would be able to lead our party, unite our party, advance our party, broaden our party,” Blakeman said.
