According to Hillary Clinton, in a well-publicized, typically shrill rant, dissent is the highest form of patriotism: … I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic. We need to stand up and say we’re Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration.” Dissent and debate is necessary…provided it is a Republican administration being dissented and debated with. Her view of dissent with an administration has been noisily shared by such Democrat luminaries as Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Steny Hoyer and Bill Ayers, to name a few. If debate is to be attempted with a leftist regime, however, all bets are off.

The Lyin’ King’s Queen addressed a fundraiser in Kalorama, Washington, late June 4. FLOTUS, accustomed to adoring crowds who know their place, was unexpectedly confronted by one Ellen Sturtz, a lesbian activist. Ms. Sturtz, according to The Washington Post “interrupted her (Michelle O’s) remarks to demand that President Obama sign an anti-discrimination executive order” which the Lyin’ King had promised to do. Was FLOTUS willing to discuss Ms. Sturtz’s concern? Perhaps, to extend a polite request to Ms. Sturtz to hold her water until FLOTUS’s speech was over? Not exactly. The video of FLOTUS’s response to Ms. Sturtz has gone viral. In high dudgeon, she marched over to where Ms. Sturtz was seated. Her anger was obvious and her reaction was immediate. She stomped over to Ms. Sturtz, glared at her, eye to eye, and according to a White House transcript of what transpired, said: “One of the things that I don’t do well is this…Do you understand?…Listen to me or you can take the mic, but I’m leaving. You all decide. You have one choice…” How considerate. The crowd, thoroughly in FLOTUS’s thrall, applauded her display of boorish behavior and begged her to stay. They insisted that Ms. Sturtz leave. Ms. Sturtz was then ejected from the room.

Ellen Sturtz had paid $500 to be admitted to FLOTUS’s shindig. She had donated $5,000 to The Lyin’ King’s 2008 campaign. The activist group of which she is a member, GetEqual, has been present for many of The Lyin’ King’s appearances, badgering him to make good on his promises to mandate gay equal rights…which are already covered under the law but, that is another matter. Apparently, The Lyin’ King, thin-skinned as he is, handles disruption better than his arguably-better half; FLOTUS’s response to Ms. Sturtz seemed to come as a shock to the ejectee. After being jettisoned, Ms. Sturtz reported that she was “stunned” by the First Lady’s response.  The Washington Post reported that Ms. Sturtz said “I was taken aback.”She said she told (FLOTUS) she was happy to take the microphone to plead her case which agitated the first lady. Agitating the first lady is never a good idea. Ms. Sturtz has discovered, the hard way, her $500 didn’t buy much.

Liberals aren’t immune from this regime’s displeasure. If you haven’t done anything for them lately, you’d better get used to staring at the underside of a bus.

And being gay is no safeguard; just ask former ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens.
