The Lyin’ King launched Democrat fund raising into hyper-drive in New York Tuesday night. The Democrat fantasy machine was disgorging in top gear as he wheedled ever-more funds for the Democrat war chest in support of mid-term election efforts. Most comments were typical of the deceitful, Orwellian psychopathy America has been subjected to by the Dictator-in-Chief for the past six years. Others offered a glimpse, however indirect, of what the Democrat party intends for the future.
The Weekly Standard gave an account of The Lyin’ King’s remarks. They bear parsing in order to identify where they fall:
- … “the notion that we would waste two years in further inaction rather than move boldly on a path that I think all of us in this room agree on — we don’t have time to waste.”
This is a two-parter. The beginning of that sentence is typical Lyin’ King “truth speak” meaning that it is a blatant cock-and-bull story. The Lyin’ King has sold it as truth and, despite his despotic actions to the contrary, Democrat lapdogs enthusiastically yowl it from the rooftops. Perhaps what the Dictator-in-Chief refers to as “further inaction” means that he has not yet entirely demolished the separation of powers. This hiccup, however, has yet to slow him down; the morning after voicing this lie, the Imperial President was at it again. FOX News reports: “President Obama, flexing his executive authority once again, plans to order the Labor Department to expand overtime pay requirements to include millions more workers… Though the administration has claimed previous executive actions had bipartisan support, officials are acknowledging that this particular move will anger business groups and congressional Republicans.”
“Further opposition?” What opposition? The Lyin’ King does whatever he wishes with no annoying opposition from anyone…including Congress. This latest lance in Capitalism’s side is slated to be announced on Thursday.
The second part of the statement is true. FOX added: “(the) announcement would appear to dovetail with Democrats’ election-year strategy of focusing on income inequality and the middle class.” POTUS was addressing a roomful of his moneyed faithful. There was no need to beat around the (you should pardon the expression) bush.
- “The clock is ticking. There’s less than two years left — less than three years left. I want to squeeze every last little bit of work that I can during the remainder of my term so that, looking back, I’m going to be able to say that we left everything on the field and every single person I could help in this office — which is such an incredible privilege — I helped.”
Another two-parter. This time, the first part of the sentence is true, with the exception of the word “work.” What he really wants to squeeze is every “last little bit” of life left to the economy and every “last little bit” of control from the American people. The second part of the sentence is another canard. The Lyin’ King has destroyed more Americans through relieving millions of their livelihoods and healthcare than any natural disaster. If he has “helped” the question is who?
- “And the fact of the matter is that Democrats are not without our flaws. We have our blind spots and we have our dogmas and we’ve got our crazy folks…”
Too right. David Jolly, Republican candidate for Florida’s 13th Congressional district, won the hotly contested interim-seat even after having been outspent by his Democrat opponent 3-1. Democrat response to the loss of what was considered a “must-win” election provided evidence of the truth of The Lyin’ King’s statement. Among her other insanities, Debbie Wasserman Schultz claimed that Jolly’s win proved “that a majority of voters oppose – repealing the Affordable Care Act…” David Axelrod, gone-but-desperate-not-to-be-forgotten, insists that the win proves that Republicans had “underperformed.” Really? In a district where the Lyin’ King had swept in two presidential elections? By landslides?
Lest anyone think the Imperial President was serious about the Democrat Party hosting “dogmas” and “crazies” the crowd greeted his nudge-nudge-wink-wink comment with the response it was intended to elicit. They laughed.
- “But as a whole, this is a party that is serious about making sure that America is growing and offering opportunity to everybody.”
The exact opposite is true. One only has to look at the evidence of last six years.
- “…the success that you’ve lived out, what we’re about is making sure a whole bunch of kids behind us can live out that same success.
If putting children’s parents out of work, increasing government dependency, eliminating healthcare, eradicating future opportunities, spying on them, destroying their Constitutional freedoms and preempting a decent education are representative of making sure “kids can live out that same success,” he might be right.
- “And if I have just a smidgeon of a cooperative Congress, think what we can do these next two and a half years.”
Yes, think. Just last week Our Beloved Leader added another, furtive alteration to the dozens he’s already made, unilaterally, regarding the individual Obamacare requirement. It grants “hardship” exemptions to millions who have already lost their healthcare. This most recent politically-motivated Band-Aid extends, conveniently, through 2016. What could he do with even less opposition than he already has?
The clock is, indeed, ticking.
