Saying he is at the “top of my game,” Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., contends he is looking “very seriously” at seeking a sixth term in the Senate.

McCain would be 80 years old when he is again up for re-election in 2016, but told “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno on Monday he might well make a bid to stay.

He first was elected to the Senate in 1987 after spending four years in the House of Representatives.

Leno asked what had changed most in those years.

“Lack of good relationships. Too much polarization. Too much anger,” McCain answered.
