President Obama declined to weigh the respective merits of Vice President Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ahead of 2016, saying they would both make “outstanding presidents.”

“Not a chance I am going there,” Obama told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews during an interview on “Hardball” Thursday.

“Both Hillary and Joe would make outstanding presidents and possess the qualities that are needed,” he added.

Biden has refused to rule out a 2016 run and Clinton has thus far refused to comment.
