Bachmann (R-Minn.) was talking with a talk radio show host during the Conservative Political Action Conference last week when she claimed the measure was not about gays, “but the gay community decided to make this their measure.”

Bachmann said that the political episode was evidence that LGBT advocates were guilty of bullying.

“The thing that I think is getting a little tiresome is that the gay communities have so bullied the American people and they’ve so intimidated politicians. The politicians fear them, and so they think that they get to dictate the agenda everywhere,” Bachmann said. “Well not with the Constitution you don’t.”
