Kansas Republican Sen. Pat Roberts called on Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, the face of Obamacare, to resign for “gross incompetence” on Friday.

“In the absence of a full repeal of Obamacare, which is my preference, we need new leadership from top to bottom. I am calling on the Secretary to resign,” Roberts said in a statement.

Eleven days after the beginning of Obamacare’s open enrollment phase, Roberts detailed Sebelius’ failings, from the problems with the online exchanges to the promotional flops meant to encourage enrollment.

“Today we know the problems with the exchanges are systematic, profound and indisputable,” Roberts said. “And yet the Secretary won’t shoot straight with the American people.”
