Just because it doesn’t have the funds to sponsor White House tours for sixth-graders doesn’t mean that it can’t afford to host a garden party (or two!)

The White House announced Monday that it will open its doors and allow public viewings of its famed gardens, including the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Rose Garden and South Lawn, this weekend.

Visitors will also get to check out the White House Kitchen Garden, where First Lady Michelle Obama picks out all of her fruits and veggies and gets inspired about her Let’s Move initiative.

The timed tours will take place from 9:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday, April 13, and from 9:00am to 3:00pm on Sunday, April 14. Tickets for the tours are free and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis at Ellipse Visitor Pavilion at 15th and E streets starting at 8:00am both days.
